How I Came To Know God

I gave my life to Christ at a business conference in 1985. Like many, I went to church as a youth but did not have a personal relationship with Jesus. After accepting Christ, because I thought it would help me be successful in business,I soon found myself backsliding away from him. I was fornicating, drinking to excess, and using drugs. I then decided to stop praying to God and start going to church. I did this because I told myself not to be fake with God. But little did I know that in the midst of my sin that’s when I really should have been praying to him.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9 KJV)
